Jobs in the USA
Hiring activity in the US is relatively low, according to the latest Manpower Employment Outlook Survey.
The survey of over 18,000 US employers found the first quarter Net Employment Outlook has risen from +4% in 2011 to +5% in 2012. This means that for every 100 employers, five more employers are planning to hire workers rather than lose them. This employment result indicates some opportunities should be available to job hunters.
It should be noted that US hiring levels are generally lower in the first quarter compared with the rest of the year – once seasonally adjusted, the first quarter outlook stands at +9%.
