About one-quarter of Australia’s 23 million people were born overseas.

Over 150 thousand newcomers will arrive in Australia in 2012 hoping to find well-paid work.

According to the March job ads survey by the ANZ bank, they have a relatively good chance of success.

Advertised jobs in Australia are at their highest levels for three years, with an average of 200,000 jobs advertised each week.

The graph below charts the number of weekly job ads in Australia from 2000 to 2012.

both me and my partner and our eight year old would like to move to adelaide as both my mum and sister are residents there. I am a beauty therapist and my partner works in the oil and gas off shore industry, although by trade he is a carpenter. I was wondering if it was likely to be possible and if so would there be a chance of sponsership through my partners work?
